The Last Tech blog for this year.

Hello. This is one of the last blogs for tech so I'll tell you what I did for graphics.

So my teacher "Mrs Ferguson" Told us on how to make a juice carton. we just needed paper to draw our designs and then after that we had to cut it. Then fold it like a juice carton then there would be a Machine that would make the paper flat so it's easier to hot glue and cut it. I made a juice carton named "bear" just kiwifruit flavor. My friend Sione made one called "apple bomb" and it's cool.

When I was done cutting my juice carton and hot gluing it. The juice carton looked like a cereal box just a kiwifruit flavored cereal box.

What I achieved is actually trying to make something then trying to get the internet password.

Who I take care of

I take care of many family members even if they are different cultures like I'm Samoan and Tongan I have to take care of my family.

My sister. she is annoying like always and she makes me angry but I still take care of her (trust me)

My 2 favorite cousins. they like brothers and they are always there for me so why can't I return the favor. We play rugby, basketball and heaps more of sports (the only thing is that I get tired after 3 shots of playing basketball and 10 seconds of running).

My nana and my nana's mum. they are both old but they are the reason I'm here.

The final one the most important ones. my mum and dad. they taught me everything like how to walk and eat but mostly eat because I was a HUGE baby.

Also every single one of my Aunts Uncles and cousins because why not also myself.

Kiwi can jam.

Hello, Last week Friday we had kiwi can jam. We performed on the stage in front of many parents and schools. My group practiced hard for it and we had to preform at Vodafone center in Manukau.

When we got there we had a snack like a nut bar or peanuts. After that we had pizza but not that much just like 2 or 3 slices and that was it. We sat on the top row so pretty much we were last to preform on the right and when we performed it was fun.

The 4 girls danced the there was a skit or a play where 2 idiots (I'm one of them) that take more than one cookies when there is a sign saying take one so pretty much we had to pretend our hand was stuck in a bucket and the avengers with Thanos tried to help us but couldn't. You should had seen Thanos when he clicked his fingers, he was like " oh no... where is it'' grab some paper and then throws it"oh no I'm disappearing'' everyone was laughing and I said "well this went from getting help to seeing someone disappear like he was doing magic" then one of the boys came back and said "man just take one" so we did......but I told him just to make the audience laugh" ah does it look there is any" they laughed and then he said that's not part of the play so I just pretended to take one and do the last dance. When we did the dance I heard my mum " GO DIEGO" my sister"yay.......why are we here" and that is what I remembered but it was fun

Halloween ( 1 day late )

Hello, I didn't go school because my sister was sick and she started to cough on me because I didn't shut her door to her room. So I stayed home with my nan and my sister while my mum and dad went work. My sister gave me a lolly bag for Halloween but I ate all of it till she came in and said " THAT WAS FOR HALLOWEEN" I was laughing because I said it wasn't till I checked what day it was and it was Halloween. Trick or treaters came by knocking on the front door and I opened the door seeing skeleton and vampires also zombies. Some I saw just adults dressing up as a baby so I just gave them some lollies from my sisters lolly bag while she was playing Fortnite with my mum because she can play it at her spare time. I heard knocking late at night like around 8 or 9 but it was late I opened the door seeing heaps of people and I mean HEAPS there was so much I gave them the whole lolly bag and my sister didn't even care, till she said where is my lolly bag and I was laughing.

Labor day

On Labor day also Monday I had a sleepover at my cousins house and I woke up with a blanket over my head like I was going to raise from the dead or be a ghost because that is the Halloween spirit. My older cousins came back from making donuts and gave me heaps and I ate it all in till I realize we were having barbecue and heaps of many other food types like pork, chicken, sausage and many more. When we started to eat everyone was eating like we were in a fancy house they were eating with knife and forks, I ate with my hand and devoring the food I had like 4 plates because it was that good. We were done so me and my cousin were back playing fortnite. Than I had to go home because my nana came to pick me up and she gave me a choice stay or go I said stay but I had to go anyway for school even though my sister was playing on my PS4  when I was trying to sleep. When it turned off I was so tired that today Tuesday 29th of October I am still tired from it.

Fire breaks out in sky city.

Hi, I'm going to tell you about the fire break in sky city even though it happened 2 days ago.

A major fire has hit Auckland's sky city convention centre.
A very huge flame engulfed the top of the building just after 1pm in the afternoon it started on the seventh floor before spreading to the sixth (just hope no one got hurt.)

The fire started in the roof cavity and it has been very difficult for the fire crew to get in ( I think the fire made them way to hot or they didn't want to risk their lives to get burnt.)

Darco wins Penguin of the year (kiwi kids news

Hi, So a 12 year old Penguin won a title called Penguin of the year so pretty much she is the Penguin of 2019 (I thing that is how it works because I don't know). He was a little blue Penguin.

More than Twelve thousands people around the whole world cast a vote.

Darco was very friendly towards other Penguins. Often visiting them in their burrows. She went to a place called Napier aquarium rehabilitation center because she was hit by a car that cause her to have head injuries. she was less than one years old

My boring holiday

Hi, I'm back for term 4 and I am going to tell you about my holiday that was boring because I barely did anything.

In the holidays I just stayed home watching YouTube and playing with friends and family also staying up all night most of the time just playing games. Mondays and Tuesdays I went to my nana's house because my whole family went to work including my sister leaving me to watch movies and sleep.

Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays I just stayed home playing games with my cousin from Australia that I haven't seen in 4 years 

Saturday just a normal Saturday

Sunday was my sister's birthday she turned ten and my Tongan family came over to eat chicken, fish, potato salad and many more ( first time I enjoyed a holiday)

Who Do You Think Will Win In The Rugby World Cup.

Rugby will happen everyday because the world cup ( I got told that)

I said All blacks will always win but then I realized Australia won 2 so pretty much it's a tie so I was nervous who was going to win out of All blacks or Australia.

I watched All blacks v South Africa and I was kinda bored watching it so I tried to watch as much as I could, but then when I saw the points 23 - 13 when I saw it, I slept.

Kiwi brand six60 have broken a local chart record set for more than 30 years

The Dunedin band is the first local act to land three songs in the top 10 singles chart since Dave Dobbyn set the record in 1986 (like that is a amazing)

My Weekend Also Including Friday The Day I Didn't Go To School

So I'm back from being home sick on Friday because my mother said I looked like I was going to die like is trying to mock me. No she only said it because I looked like it.

Friday :
Staying home and having my mum say I looked like I was going to die.
Also Playing with a boy called Henry used to come to Ruapotaka but he is in collage now.

Saturday:
Just lying on my bed watching YouTube and Netflix eating and sandwich and many other food types.
What I remember is falling off my bed sleeping because I was on the edge of it so I thought we were having a earthquake. My nan thinking I was missing because I went to my dad's dad's house.

Sunday:
Feeling better so I was kinda ready to go school and still eating a lot because nobody can stop me.
Playing my game with Henry but is wasn't Fortnite it was brawlhalla.

Making mince gravy with potato salad. (tech)

So I'll tell you something that annoyed me.
If you remember Mario he begged for me to be his partner like crazy just for cooking because he didn't want to be with Lilly a girl from st Pius but he did.

1.  Peel the potatoes and put in a pot and boil them.
2. Get some mince or as much as you want and break it with a wooden spoon or what ever you cook with.
3. slice and dice some onions and put it with the mince.
4. To make a cool gravy add bistro and flour and mix it with water
5. Get some vegetables and put it in a different pot and boil (Again don't have to add veges because I don't like them)
6. wait and enjoy. Also it makes a great dinner

St Lukes Jewel Heist (NZ Herald)

A group of thieves stole some jewelry at St Lukes and escaped in a car before they jumped on the train.

A police said one was still on a run while the others are in custody.

This drama began at 3:25 pm while customers panicked hearing gun shots inside the mall.

So Ruapotaka came late so st Pius did the work for us while we were waiting for our bus to arrive

so we barely did anything but eat so here is what you will need

I don't know what they did but all I did was roll the wraps with the veges and chicken.

Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern Went To The Islands

Our prime minster Jacinda Ardern went to the islands of Samoa and New Zealand's territory of Tokelau.

The trip is part of this country don't want to name it because you will already know.....No it's the country we live in New Zealand. New Zealand's government's pacific Reset strategy.

Making Quiches (Tech)

Me and Mario (again)

The ingredients you will need are:

Pastry.

Ham.

cheese.

Milk.

Four eggs.

Cooking Oil

First step:

Slice and dice the ham in small (but not too small) pieces.

Second step:

Pour a little bit of oil inside one muffin hole and spread it so it is not hard putting the pastry in.

Third step:

Use the circle shape and cut nine pieces.

Fourth step:

Crack four eggs in a bowl and pour milk in to mix it.

Fifth step:

 Put the nine pieces of pastry in the muffin holes of the muffin tray and put the eggs and milk with ham and cheese.

Sixth step:

Put the oven to 180 degrees and put the pastry in.

NZ loses world's steepest street title (kiwi kids news).

My Holiday Was So (Not) Amazing.

Good morning people. I am going to talk about my holiday. Let's start with Monday.

Monday:
All I did was play on the PS4 with friends then do boring stuff like chores and watch Youtube, also hang out with the family.

Tuesday:
I slept through the whole day.

Wednesday:
I went to the shop just to get cake and custard with a lot of fizzy.

Thursday:
Just like Wednesday.

Friday:
Sleep then eat then sleep again.

Saturday:
Taking a shower then eat.

Sunday:
Celebrating my little cousins 1st birthday.

white wero park (rm 12's trip)

So last Friday room 12 went on a trip to wero whitewater park. Everyone went in and sat down looking at the water and the other school paddling on their rafts.

Afterwards we had to change into our swimsuits and put on our gear. When we finish preparing we all were split into groups, I was with Alamoni, Nurul, Frank, Ana and winnie

Our first activity was to practice walking through a fast river and then we could go on our rafts and I did nothing because we had seven and there were six paddles.I chose to do nothing and I had the best day I ever had for a trip.

Salmon On The Run In Twizel (Kiwi Can)

There are over 2,000 salmon that have escaped into a canal system in Twizel, Canterbury.
The 2,000 salmon escaped from a fish farm.

Fishing rules state that fishermen are not allowed to take more than two salmon so maybe that's good enough. I expected it to say four or five.

In the story it talks about a fish farm. I don't know if I have been to a fish farm and if I have I don't remember

Making soup (tech)

So Mario and I partner up (again)
So we made soup and here is what you will need
1. You will need a chopping board.
2. You will need beef
3.  You will also need cauliflower,broccoli onion,cabbage and potatoes
4. knife and a pan.


First step:
slice the beef and boil it with the cabbage,potatoes and the other veges
second:
You can use any spices like salt,pepper or chili pepper.
Third:
I had to clean the tables and the sink while Mario cooks the soup.

Than after all that we ate our soup than clean again

Making English Breakfast And Eating It (tech)

So my group and I made a English breakfast using these ingredients

You will need
Sausage

Bacon

Beans

Eggs 

Plates 

A pan 

1. Mario and I had to cooked our sausages until it turned brown.

2. Mario had to add in the bacon. Remove when brown.

3. Mario cracked in the eggs into the hot pan. (I accidentally dropped an egg or two...) 

I had to go get two plates for the both of us.

5. I then warmed up the beans and divided it for the two of us.

After eating we all had to clean our dishes and bench tops.

Earthquake hit white island (I really don't know how to say in Maori)

White Island is New Zealand's most active volcano. It is located 48km off the Bay of Plenty coast.

There has been 196 quakes in the area since Thursday. GNS science have said that the earthquakes are getting stronger, and there are fears it may cause a landslide.

Twenty two in the past 24 Hours have been magnitude 3 or greater. The largest measurement 3.9.

Experts are closely monitoring the island.

ANZAC day service

So on the last day on last day of Term 1 we had a ANZAC day service. Some parents came to service and we all had a 1 minute silents and we had to listen to the last post. After the ANZAC services was done some parents took their children home.

Kiwican

Today room 12 went to multipurpose room to do kiwi can. It was so fun because we all did some fun activity and we did a topic about honesty. The tutors names were Mrs Mac and Ms Tuia  and they both were asking room 12 what does Integrity mean and integrity mean being honest.Also they had some rules which are Respect each other, listen to the speaker, don't be shy give it a try,participate  

What I need to focus on in Term 2

I need to focus on not talking about things that is not about learning and to listen so I can understand what they are saying. I also need to focus on homework because every time I get home I do nothing but sleep so I need to focus on that a lot.

Spending 1 Week Away From School

I had to spend a week away from school because I had to practice a song and say goodbye to my aunty that I only met once (when I was five or six). I also met my uncle I haven't seen in 9 or 10 years because he was in Australia living with my cousins. He was so surprised to see how big I was. He said, "You were down here, now you're up here. You're growing, son."

On Monday we had to get ready to do the burial. Don't take this the wrong way but I didn't cry when I was supposed to.

On Tuesday is my uncles' birthday (not the uncle that calls me son). It was fun while it lasted.
On Wednesday,  more birthdays and that means more cakes.
On Thursday we went back to go see my aunty for a little while.
On Friday waking up at 1:00 pm thinking it was 8:30 am. I was kinda embarrassed.
On Saturday nothing. BORING!.
On Sunday it was my mum's birthday and we went back to the cemetery to eat a lot and play around. Well  a least it wasn't Saturday.

What I do at home

So hello I'll be talking about what I do at home lets start.

So I play on my PlayStation for 1 hrs till my mum comes home so her and my sister can go get a feed. When they come back I'll always say what did you get and my mum will say KFC, MC Donald, burrito or because I will eat so much KFC and MC Donald.After that my mum and my sister and I will go outside and play Cricket lets just say my sister will get angry when she gets out she says GIVE ME ONE MORE CHANCE,THAT NOT FAIR!!!! and all that stuff. When we do she will say shame and laughs we get her out again yeah she will say I AM CHAMP NO ONE WILL BEAT ME!!! I when hit the ball like 20 times I will get tired and tell my mum it's her turn. So I play on my PlayStation till sleep time so I can do everything for the next day 

Duffy Show!!!!

We had Duffy come to our school and showcase their story. This time the story was about Duffy being stuck in a game called "Magic Bricks". That was hilarious. The puzzler was so funny I wanted to laugh so hard.

Wood works with Mr Grundy

On Wednesday room 12 had tech  and it was my first time doing it and we were going to Tamaki college. So there was groups of three I was in Jessica's group. We went with Mr Grundy and we were doing wood works. Frank and I were thinking to make a tank or a YouTube play button but we need to see if we had the pieces to make one of them. Mr Grundy and Jessica gave the group paper and I tried to think what to make before we use the tools which will take long.

Back to school as an intermdiate

When it was last Thursday it was my first time at school and I was ultra nervous. Well, it was fun when Mr Reid and Mrs Golder made me laugh nearly hard out. Morning tea is the best because I get to play outside for a very long time because at home I'm only allowed to take the bins when I'm outside getting fruits for my Nan.
